For those of you interested in traveling or in the Denver area we are having a release party for the Zeis book. The Denver Press Club was nice enough to host it for us. It will have a cash bar, free vintage photo booths and Zeis related items on display. It promises to be a great time!

Interesting book I saw this on the web. I was born and raised in Rockford Ill. my uncle Larry had a liquor store on west state on the corner near Milton’s studio, Larry’s Liquors. I had an interest in tatto’s in jr. high and did a report for school. I could find very little on the subject outside of Life Magazine’s Lyle Tuttle article. I had wanted to interview Milton but he had passed two yrs. earlier. So I could only interview people around him. One of which was an apprentice at fifteen who had another studio then, Not many people knew much about him, other than the fact that he was an old man who possibly lived in the back room of his studio. When he died he left over $60K face value in silver coins in a box in a hole in the wall in the back room. That would be about $275K in todays money (face value) of course. But that’s about anything anyone knew back then. Then this shows up WOW! He seemed to have allot more going on than his neighbors knew.
